Session Questions & Answers

Where do you offer your outdoor portrait sessions?
I will work with you to select the perfect outdoor location based on your preference and needs. Please use my contact form to get started and we can explore the best location during a quick consultation.

How long does a portrait session typically last?
The duration of a portrait session varies depending on the type of session and the number of subjects involved. Learn more about the collections here! This will also be outlined in your contract.

What should I wear for my portrait session?
I suggest choosing clothing that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Solid colors or simple patterns tend to work best, so it's a good idea to avoid overly distracting prints, logos, or clashing patterns. For outdoor sessions, earth tones are ideal—stay away from bright pinks, reds, and yellows, as they can cast unwanted hues on your skin. For family photos, consider having everyone wear different shades of similar colors to create a cohesive look without being too matchy. We can discuss wardrobe options and styling during our consultation.

Can I bring props to my portrait session?
Absolutely! Bringing props can add a personal touch to your portraits and help to showcase your personality or interests. Let me know what props you have in mind, and we can incorporate them into the session. Please let me know in advance if you would like to include a furry friend.

How will I receive my photos from the session and how many will I get?
The number of photos you receive depends on the package you choose and the length of the session. Photos are provided in color and black and white. All photos are shared through an online gallery and are available for download via a secure pin that can be shared with friends and family with access to my print shop.

Do you provide a contact?
Yes, a contract will be sent to you to sign after our consultation. This will clearly outline the details of your session. Your session date is officially booked once you have signed your contracted and paid your deposit.

How do I pay? What payment methods do you except?
An invoice will be sent to you along with your contract. You can pay your deposit or for your total session via the invoice which offers bank deposit or credit card options.

How long will it take to receive the edited photos?
Turnaround time for edited photos varies depending on my current workload and the number of images from your session. On average, you can expect to receive your edited photos within 2-3 weeks for a portrait session. Weddings or special events take typically 8 weeks. If you have a specific timeline that you would like photos done by, please let me know and I will try best best to accommodate your request.

Do you offer prints or albums of the photos?
Yes, you can purchase prints through your personal online gallery via my print shop. The shop offers prints, custom books, canvases and much more high quality products that are delivered directly to you!

Can you accommodate special requests or specific locations for portrait sessions?
Absolutely! I'm more than happy to accommodate special requests or specific locations for your portrait session. Just let me know your preferences during our consultation, and we can try to make it happen.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our outdoor session?
If the weather doesn't cooperate on the day of our outdoor session, we can reschedule for another date that works for both of us at no additional cost. Your comfort and satisfaction are important to me, so I want to ensure we capture the best possible portraits in ideal conditions. We can talk through some potential rain dates during our initial consultation.
